Many times we find that even after 8-10 hours of sleep, we still wake up in a fatigue condition. Something insides you tells you have not had the best of your sleep.
While there are many reasons attributed to lack of quality sleep, one of the possible reasons could be snoring. Snoring is often misunderstood as indicator of great sleep, but in reality, it is actually the opposite.
What is Snoring ?
Snoring is the noise created by the soft palate and other tissues of the mouth, nose and throat while sleeping. This noise is due to partial blockage of airway.

The next thing you need to do is to lose your weight. Losing weight will help you to stop snoring by causing decrease in the fatty tissue of your airway. By eating less and improving your physical fitness level, your ability to breath freely when you sleep increases. This results in minimizing or eliminating snoring altogether.
Reducing exposure to smoke will help you considerably in reducing the strength and noise of your snoring.
If you are sleeping on your back then it is the right time to change your sleeping posture. Studies have revealed that persons who sleep on their back are more prone to snoring. This is because the soft tissues which are at the back of your throat and tongue tends to get suppressed in this position thereby blocking the airway. Changing your sleep position to your side will definitely help.
Practice breathing exercises at least for 10 to 15 minutes daily. This will ensure removing toxins and unwanted foreign particles in your airway making it.
Snoring, though is much below the list of diseases which causes death is still not to be treated lightly. There are several cases of death while in sleep when major portion of airway gets blocked . This happens especially in old people who do not have enough strength to force the air in and out when it gets blocked.
Moreover, it is indeed a major embarrassment and reasons for low self-esteem for many. So why not eliminate this with simple guidelines as above ?
